Biography

Ms. Gelston has been an Engineer for PNNL for over 15 years. She received her Doctorate in Applied Management and Decision Sciences from Walden University, a Masters in Engineering Management from Washington State University with an undergraduate degree in Applied Mathematics. Ms. Gelston leads a development team focused on Dynamic Decision Support Systems. Her team is currently over 20 staff supporting the requirements, design, development and deployment of the Common Operating and Response Environment (CORE) technology suite. Spanning more than a dozen diverse customer applications this system is quickly adaptable to supporting information collaboration and decision making.

Ms. Gelston provides a holistic systems approach to considering system and user needs for data and information from summarization of information for decision makers and stakeholders, through collection and scientific analysis. Ms. Gelston's agile approach to requirements, design, development and deployment enables clients and users to directly engage in system design activities through the entire development life-cycle.
