Biography

Currently Ryan is a project manager and business development lead at Pacific Northwest National Lab. Since coming to the lab he is managing projects and doing business development for new technologies related to cyber and nuclear. His main portfolio of projects are with the Air Force where he manages a team of developers that are creating leading edge technologies for cyber to secure our national assets. For the nuclear sector he is a business development lead that creates partnerships with the commercial nuclear industry.

Previously Ryan served as an officer in the Air Force working on the front end of new technology development leading projects and relationships with SpaceX, NASA, and National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) to push the boundaries of space launch. After that he went on to work in the nuclear industry pushing the boundaries of new markets and technology. His experience includes negotiating high risk contracts with Fortune 500 companies, developing business in emerging small modular reactors, and leading proposal efforts for multi-million dollar projects. As a project manager he has led many first-of-a-kind technology efforts, some getting national attention/recognition. He is a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) from PMI who graduated with honors in both the WSU MBA Program and the Oregon State Nuclear Engineering Program.
